What might this procedure do for me?
This procedure is intended to raise and reshape sagging breasts.
Women whose breasts are sagging from weight loss, pregnancy or loss of
skin elasticity will benefit from this procedure.
How long do the results last?
This is highly dependent on the quality of skin and size of your
breasts. It can be anywhere from 5 years to permanent.
What will my recovery be like?
Your breasts will be bruised and uncomfortable for several days.
Will I have restrictions after the procedure?
You should avoid strenuous activity for about 2 weeks.
When will I be back to work?
You will be able to return to work in 1-2 weeks.
Where is the surgery performed?
Dr. Hess performs the majority of his procedures at Northwest
Hospital.
What type of anesthesia is used?
General anesthesia (asleep) or local with sedation performed by an
Anesthesiologist.
Where will the scars be?
The scars will be located around the areola (which can be made
smaller) vertically down to the breast crease and sometimes along the
undersurface of the breast crease. All scars are hidden in a bra or
bathing suit.
What are the risks?
While complications are rare, The risks include infection, bleeding
and scarring, as with all surgical procedures. Numbness to the nipples
or breast skin are also potential complications of this procedure.
